One more for the good/bad guys, depending on your taste. Over the last week, AEW has made as big of a splash in the wrestling world as any company has in a long time. They’ve seemingly changed the way wrestling is done and might even want to take a shot at WWE. This includes a heck of a fight over talent, and one of the names has slipped through AEW’s fingers.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, independent star Viper is likely to sign with WWE when her World of Sport contract expires. Viper is best known for her time in the first Mae Young Classic, where she wrestled under the name Piper Niven. She is a talent that both AEW and WWE have both had their eyes on, though it is not known when her current contract expires.
In case you forgot what Viper is capable of. Check out her Mae Young Classic match against Toni Storm:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that fresh competition causes. There are multiple companies interested in a talent and that almost guarantees that one of them will pick up that talent. It allows the wrestlers to have some more leverage and maybe get a better deal for themselves. WWE has dominated the market for so long and this could be the change of pace that has been needed.
