Arguably, the biggest news that came out of the recent “Double or Nothing” rally that was held by the new All Elite Wrestling promotion was that Chris Jericho has signed with them and will be competing in the new AEW.

But just what does the new deal entail? And how was it put together?

According to Dave Melter of Wrestling Observer Radiothe deal was completed very recently as Jericho had been in talks with WWE only a few weeks ago. Furthermore, WWE responded by moving Jericho to the alumni section of their website.

However, Jericho’s deal with AEW is not exclusive, as he’s still interested in working with New Japan Pro Wrestling. This is in contrast to the other talent that is signing with the promotion, as their talent deals are exclusive to AEW.

Editor’s Opinion:

This is huge for AEW. They have landed one of the hugest names in the history of professional wrestling, and having him associated with the promotion gives it even more credibility then it already had.
