That card is getting full. With less than three weeks to go before the Royal Rumble, we’ve reached the point where you can see most of the card. There are of course the two Royal Rumble matches but also several title matches that have to be taken care of. In this case several of them have already been made, but there are still some that need to be set up. One of those took place on Tuesday.
This week on SmackDown Live, Shane McMahon and the Miz were announced as the new #1 contenders to the SmackDown Tag Team Titles, currently held by the Bar, with the title match being set for the Royal Rumble. Miz challenged the champions and was kicked in the face by Sheamus, before Cesaro agreed to the match. McMahon later agreed that it was a good idea and the match was set.
At least they’re getting along. Here’s how McMahon and Miz felt after the announcement:
Opinion: I really don’t care for this storyline and this isn’t exactly instilling me with confidence. The match is likely going to focus on McMahon, which tends to be the case with almost anything involving him. Hopefully they don’t get the titles, as that would be one of the worst things that could happen on the show. Just let it end and let them have a singles match to wrap this up for good.
What do you think of Miz and McMahon as a team? Should they win the titles? Let us know in the comments below.
