The card is growing in a hurry. We are about a week away from WWE’s latest show in Saudi Arabia with Crown Jewel. That is the kind of show that WWE rarely sees go well as the previous Saudi Arabia shows have been little more than a disaster with one terrible event after another. A lot of the show has already been set up but at the same time, you never can tell how long the show is going to run. With that being said, the show also needs to be a big deal with some major matches, so two more were added this week.

WWE has announced a pair of matches for Crown Jewel, with one of them being tied to the other. During the show, a battle royal will take place with the winner going on the face United States Champion AJ Styles later in the night for a shot at the title. There are currently no names announced for the match and since Crown Jewel is under different rules, there is a chance that the match could include names from both the Monday Night Raw and SmackDown roster. Styles’ most recent televised title defense came against Cedric Alexander on the September 30 Monday Night Raw.

You might see this one again. Check out Styles defending the title:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that has been done at house shows for years now and it is something that works quite well. Given that the odds of Styles losing the title are long at best, throwing him out there against someone who is likely to lose, such as Alexander again, would be a fine use of a few minutes and there is nothing wrong with that. They can have the same match they have had a few times now, or maybe we might even get a big fluke title win. I doubt that happens, but maybe WWE will decide to try something new.

Who do you see winning the battle royal? Who will get the title shot? Let us know in the comments below.
