It’s Very Him: Daniel Bryan Does Something Great With New Shirt

That’s pretty awesome. One of the thing that you will hear over and over in wrestling is that the key to the top characters of all time is letting them be themselves with the volume turned way up. That is certainly still the case in modern times and if you can find something for a wrestler that suits their natural personality, you really have something. Now we have someone who is living their gimmick outside of the ring.

There have been some great characters in WWE in recent years with Daniel Bryan as the Planet’s Champion being near the top of the list. Bryan clearly cared about the environment and taking as much care of the planet as he could. The character did not get to last long but it was outstanding while it lasted. Bryan is not doing this on television anymore, but now he is doing something else in real life.

During last week’s edition of Talking Smack, Bryan appeared and announced that all of the money he receives from his new shirt will be spent to plant trees. The shirt is made of recycled material and will see at least four plastic water bottles used in its creation. Bryan has had other shirts made of recycled material. There is no word on how long the shirt will be on sale.

Opinion: Good for Bryan and WWE, as this might be a minor move but if it is something that can do a little good, so be it. This is clearly something that Bryan cares about in a big way and hopefully this something that does some good things for the planet. If nothing else, Bryan getting to do something that he cares about is going to make him happy, which is rather nice to see as well.
