Already? One of the coolest parts of the Monday Night Wars was seeing who was going to show up on another show. It can make for some great moments as you never knew who is going to be popping up from another promotion to change things up a bit. That might not always be the same thing today, but it might be happening again with a pretty prominent name.

According to Fightful Select, Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract expired after last week’s SmackDown, when he lost in a Universal Title shot against champion Roman Reigns. As a result of his contract expiring rather than being released from his contract, Bryan would be allowed to appear for any promotion at any time. There is no word on where Bryan will be signing next and there is nothing to indicate that he will be jumping to another promotion.

Opinion: Now this is going to be a lot more interesting going forward as Bryan very well could sign somewhere other than WWE. Of course he very well could show up back in WWE, but all the bets are off at the moment and that can make things even more interesting. You know there are going to be a lot of interesting teases of where he might wind up and that is a very good thing.

Bryan is not the kind of talent that you get to see every day. He is one of the most skilled wrestlers in the world today and someone who can have a good to great match with anyone. His career is likely winding down though, but it still could make for a very interesting situation if he goes somewhere else. Hopefully he gets to do whatever he wants and at the moment, that is what he could do.

Where will Bryan wind up? Where do you want to see him go? Let us know in the comments below.
