Is anyone a fan of that thing? Last week on Monday Night Raw, WWE unveiled the 24/7 Championship, which is their latest attempt to help change the tide of viewers not watching the Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live. However, the title wasn’t the best received in the world as it was mainly viewed as ugly at best and hideous at worst. It turns out that someone who knows a lot about titles was of the same mindset.
On the most recent episode of E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness, Edge talked about the title, calling it “The ugliest championship ever created.” At the same time though, Edge went on to say that the title is a good idea and a great way to showcase some of the talents of people who might not get a chance otherwise. Edge would know something about titles, as he held more of them than anyone else in WWE history.
I mean, he’s not wrong. Check out the unveiling of the title:
Opinion: The thing really is an uninspired mess with the rather ugly looking green strap and 24/7 logo in the middle. It feels like something that was made at the last minute with as little thought as possible put into the idea. I’m sure the title will start to settle into its place as the comedy portion of the show, but that doesn’t change the fact that the belt itself is downright awful looking.
