Hopefully it’s not bad. Pete Dunne arrived on the WWE stage last year and has turned into one of the best featured attractions in recent memory. Dunne, despite being 24 years old, is already a veteran and currently the longest reigning champion in WWE with a 500+ day reign as United Kingdom Champion. However, he might have hit a roadblock, which hopefully doesn’t last long.
According to Destiny Wrestling via their Twitter page, Dunne is injured and will not be able to make his scheduled appearances for the company in Canada this weekend. There is no word on how or when he was injured or when he will be back in the ring. Dunne will be appearing on next week’s NXT in a previously taped triple threat match and is likely scheduled to be part of Takeover: WarGames II on November 17.
NEWS Due to circumstances beyond our control
Pete Dunne will not be able to make it to Canada this weekend. We apologize to everyone for any inconvenience but the show must go on and we are happy to announce that Tyler Bate & Trent Seven will still be coming to represent BSS ? pic.twitter.com/62jdcJOgA4— Destiny Wrestling (@DestinyWrestle) October 4, 2018
When he’s healthy:
Opinion: Hopefully this isn’t too serious as Dunne has become one of the best things to happen to NXT and arguably WWE as a whole in a very long time. He’s young, talented, and has the aura of one of the best in the world. I’d love to see what he can do on the main roster and with some more regular appearances, but really that might spoil what works so well. Either way, hopefully he’s back soon.
