Well that’s pretty blunt. Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, Brock Lesnar was ready to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase for a shot at either the Universal Title or the WWE Title. That was the plan until Lesnar found out that he had a year left to cash in his contract. This news was enough to change the plans so the cash-in did not take place. Stephanie McMahon was not happy and now things have changed.
As announced on WWE.com, Lesnar and Heyman will be appearing on next week’s Monday Night Raw to cash in the Money In The Bank contract against Seth Rollins. Heyman released a video explaining the details, including that Lesnar will be cashing in at some point from 8pm until 11pm. Should the match take place, the match will he Lesnar’s first match on Monday Night Raw since June 22, 2002 and his first match on free television since March 6, 2004 on SmackDown.
Heyman made it clear what was going on. Check out his announcement of the whole thing:
Opinion: This sounds like another bait and switch, which have become a major problem for WWE over the last few….well years really. The Monday Night Raw ratings and audience have been dwindling down lower and lower almost every week so maybe this is just a way to get more people to tune in. Hopefully we get something more substantial than another joke, but WWE has a tendency to pull the rug from underneath the fans.
