That just sounds unfair. One of the biggest stories from Double Or Nothing was the debut of Jon Moxley, who until recently had been known as Dean Ambrose in WWE. Moxley was one of the top stars in the company and had been heavily featured on WWE’s programming leading up to his departure. This included a big sendoff for his last match, but there was a downside to it.

Moxley recently appeared on the Talk Is Jericho podcast and discussed his departure from WWE, including his final appearance at the Shield’s Last Ride event. The event was originally a regular house show but was turned into a live WWE Network special. Moxley said that he was paid $500 for the event, which is the bare minimum that performers receive for appearing in WWE. This was said to be the amount that extras get for showing up to appear in a WWE segment.

Shield got a lot of sendoffs. Here’s one of them from Monday Night Raw:

Opinion: I know WWE decides how much to pay their performers per appearance but come on now. This comes off as the definition of petty with WWE being angry that Moxley was going to leave the company. Moxley made a fortune in WWE but after everything he’s done for them and all the bad ideas he’s had to get over, they give him the bare minimum as a parting gift? That’s rather pitiful.

Was WWE being ridiculous? How did you like Moxley’s exit from the company? Let us know in the comments below.
