Oh no. Injuries can be some of the most significant issues in all of wrestling as there is no way to prepare for them and they can take someone out of action for a very long time. The question immediately becomes just how long it will be before someone can get back in the ring. Now it seems that another major star could be out of action for a very long time at a rather bad time.

According to the Wrestling Observer, CM Punk suffered a “significant injury” during the Royal Rumble. While not confirmed, the speculation is that Punk suffered a torn tricep. The plan at the moment is to have Punk address the injury this week on Monday Night Raw. There is no word on how long Punk will be out of action or what this will mean for the scheduled WrestleMania plans.

Opinion: Assuming this is true, this is another major injury for Punk and that means we could be seeing the end of Punk’s career sooner than later. At the end of the day, Punk seems to be made of glass and there is only so much that can be done if there is always the chance that he is going to be hurt and miss months of action in the blink of an eye. Punk is incredibly talented, but how much longer can this go?
