That’s a bad sign. An injury can be one of the worst things imaginable for a wrestler as it can cut their career down out of nowhere. You almost never know how bad an injury is going to be at first and that can make for a rather scary situation. It can be a horrible thing to see and sometimes you have a feeling that things are going to be bad. That seems to be the case again this week in NXT.
The NXT women’s division has come a long way since the promotion was founded. The division has produced all kinds of stars and is still a focal point of NXT as a whole today. NXT continues to develop talent and refresh the division and it is a lot of fun to see where these wrestlers start and wind up. One of the more promising stars in NXT today might be out of the ring for a bit though.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Kacy Catanzaro’s injury angle during this week’s edition of NXT was likely designed to cover for a legitimate injury. Catanzaro had a knee brace on during the match, though it is not known how long she will be out of action. NXT commentary mentioned that Catanzaro may have had a broken leg due to an attack by Xia Li.
It was a nasty moment. Check out the Catanzaro vs. Li match and what Catanzaro can do when she is healthy:
Opinion: This is one of those things that can be horrible to see and hopefully the injury is not something that keeps Catanzaro out of action for a very long time. She has started to turn the corner in recent months and could become quite the star given her amazing athleticism. I’m almost worried to hear the diagnosis because Catanzaro being out for months on end is a rather horrible thing to imagine.
