That’s not the best reputation. One of the perks of WWE is having all kinds of different wrestlers being brought into the company from around the world. Several wrestlers are able to bring different styles and training into the company, which means you get a nice variety of options. However, not all of them are the best and sometimes they need to be adjusted. That is the case again and now we know why.
One of the more interesting stories of the week was that of Vince McMahon ordering several wrestlers to take weekly classes at the Performance Center to improve their in-ring skills. There were about half a dozen names listed and some of them were a little more surprising than others. One name in particular has a reason to be sent down and it is a little more serious than the rest.
According to Fightful Select, Otis is being sent to the classes as it is believed he could be safer in the ring. Over the last few months, there were a few spots where Otis could have done things a bit better. There are no reports of Otis injuring anyone in the ring. Otis is also said to be well liked backstage, meaning there is no heat on him from the locker room for the problems.
Otis certainly gets time in the ring. Check out some of his recent work:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that probably does not get much attention from the fans but if there is something that the production staff sees, there might be something to the complaints. Safety in the ring is the most important part of a match and if these classes make things that much better, they’re worth the investment. Hopefully this winds up helping Otis, and it’s not like he is missing any time as a result.
What do you think of Otis? Will his new team with Chad Gable work? Let us know in the comments below.
