I guess that makes sense for McMahon. We are coming up on WrestleMania 37 and that means it is time to have most of the matches set up, at least behind the scenes. That does not necessarily mean that it is going to be the case though, as WWE has been shaken up by the Coronavirus pandemic. The situation has caused some major changes, including to WrestleMania, which could mean that the card could be rather different.

It is no secret that Roman Reigns is the top star in WWE at the moment and someone who has finally figured out whatever has been missing for several years. Reigns has taken over SmackDown and dominated the Universal Title scene for several months, meaning he is going to need a special opponent for the biggest show of 2021. WWE had a plan, but a few restrictions might have changed their plans.

According to Wrestlingnews.co, Vince McMahon does not want to have Reigns face the Rock in Florida. WrestleMania 37 is scheduled to take place at SoFi Stadium outside of Los Angeles, California, but the restrictions brought on by the Coronavirus could cause the show to be moved to Florida. One of the big appeals of Rock vs. Reigns would be to have the additional press attention from Hollywood. There is no guarantee that Rock will be wrestling at the event no matter where it is held.

It would be a heck of a showdown. Check out Rock and Reigns’ time together in WWE, both real and virtual:

Opinion: Rock vs. Reigns at WrestleMania 37 is a dream match, but I’m not sure I can picture it taking place in the current circumstances. As much as WWE would love to have the match, can you imagine it happening in front of no or fans, or even limited fans? The idea of having the match in Los Angeles is a great perk, but do you want to pass up on having the match anywhere? It’s a complicated situation and hopefully WWE figures something out that gets Rock in the ring again, assuming that is a possibility.
