Another one goes down. Other than some very different weekly television shows from WWE and AEW, there hasn’t been much live wrestling to watch as of late. The entire industry has been turned upside due to the spread of the Coronavirus and there is very little to look forward to at the moment in wrestling. There were only a few major shows coming up to not be canceled yet and one more has gone down.
One of the best things about being a fan is how international the sport really is. There is wrestling all over the world and you can go almost anywhere you want to find some kind of wrestling that you want. Things are messed up all over the world as well though and that means some international shows are going to be canceled too. That is the case with one of the biggest one on the schedule.
The 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland has announced that Takeover: Dublin has officially been rescheduled. The show was originally scheduled to take place on Sunday April 26 and has since been moved to Sunday October 25. This was to be the fourth Takeover from NXT UK and the first to take place outside of the United Kingdom. No matches had been announced for the show.
WWE has been to Dublin before. Check out some of their times there:
Opinion: That’s a shame but there isn’t much of a way around it. The show would have taken place in a month and there is a very good reason to believe that things will not be back to normal by then. I can’t imagine that being the case and having a wrestling show is almost out of the question right now. Move the show that far forward and see how much better things are by then.
How do you see the show going? What would the original card have been? Let us know in the comments below.
