Sasha Banks has widely been considered one of the best female wrestlers around the world over the past few years. Her success in WWE both as a singles competitor and most recently as one half of the Boss ‘N Hug Connection has led to an incredible amount of support for the “Legit Boss.”
One of the most controversial talking points coming out of WrestleMania 35 earlier this year was the crowning of The IIconics as the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. This isn’t due to the competitors, but rather the system. As it turns out, Banks and partner Bayley had reportedly been told that they’d be retaining the gold on the grandest stage of them all… and that didn’t happen.
Following that moment, Banks has not appeared on WWE TV in any capacity. This includes RAW, SmackDown Live- and all other forms of WWE programming. Furthermore, Banks has notably changed her hair color to black and has been posting cryptic messages out on her social media. This is seemingly creating the picture that the former RAW Women’s Champion is unhappy with WWE.
As shown in the video above, WWE has attempted to explain the sudden absence of Banks through a few small segments relating to Bayley being unable to contact her. Banks, however, now seems active on social media and is openly tweeting Bayley and others.
Banks took to Twitter last night to share a beautiful photo of herself. Judging by her wording, the Superstar appears to be talking about being more in touch with who she is- referencing her real name. This prompted a response from Impact Women’s Champion Taya Valkyrie, who simply retweeted the photo and added that the athlete looked “stunning.”
The subsequent conversation involved Banks asking Valkyrie to wrestle her. Not one to refrain from a challenge, the independent star told Banks to name a time and place. This would lead to AEW star Britt Baker chiming in, cheekily inviting the both of them to come to fight on her turf. Check the interaction through the tweets below:
Thank you pretty! Let’s wrestle ?

I know a place…

At this time, Banks remains under contract with WWE. Therefore, she is not legally able to compete elsewhere without direct permission from her employers. Given the circumstances the two parties have found themselves in, it is possible that this unofficial invitation by Baker to both Banks and Valkyrie could result in a bout between the two at a future AEW show.
Do you want to see Banks elsewhere? Should she remain in WWE?
