That one sneaks up on you. We’re less than a week away from Super ShowDown but you might not realize that we’re also less than three weeks away from Stomping Grounds. Since Super ShowDown isn’t a traditional pay per view, WWE keeps plugging right along with the regular pay per view schedule, which will pick up on June 23. Without much time left, the card needs to be set up and that process began on Monday.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns announced that he will be facing Drew McIntyre at Stomping Grounds in the first match officially confirmed for the show. Reigns opened the show but was interrupted by Shane McMahon. After an exchange, Reigns said he was tired of McMahon always having backup so he would take out some of that backup at Stomping Grounds when he beat McIntyre. This brought out McIntyre, who accepted the challenge. The two met at WrestleMania 35 where Reigns defeated McIntyre.

They did it on the big stage. Check out their match at WrestleMania 35:

Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise in the world and there’s nothing wrong with that. McIntyre and Reigns have been having issues for a long time now, but there is a good chance that this is going to be tied back into the McMahon vs. Reigns feud. Reigns needs to move on to something else so hopefully he can defeat McIntyre and find something new. However, McIntyre needs a win at some point and I don’t see that happening against Reigns.

Who do you think wins this match? What is next for both men? Let us know in the comments below.
