WrestlingInc is reporting that independent wrestlers are now beginning to mock Randy Orton in their matches, following the comments Orton made on independent wrestling earlier this month.
Wrestle Circus in Austin, Texas held their latest show last night. The main event saw Pentagon Jr, Rey Fenix & Juventud Guerrera vs. Shane Strickland, Sammy Guevara & Mr. 450 where Guevara would stop 450 and Strickland from completing a simultaneous jump with him from the top turnbuckles and explain that Orton is on Twitter.
In response to this, all three men jumped down from the turnbuckle and gave all their opponents an RKO before doing Orton’s pose to further mock him. You can view the video here, courtesy of Pro Wrestling Unlimited on YouTube.
Austin, Texas wrestling promotion, Wrestle Circus, held a show last night with a main event of Pentagon Jr, Rey Fenix & Juventud Guerrera vs. Shane Strickland, Sammy Guevara & Mr. 450. During the match 450, Strickland, and Guevara all went to jump off the top rope, but Guevara stopped the trio, and said “Wait! Wait! Randy Orton is on Twitter!” The group all jumped down, gave their opponents RKOs, and did Orton’s pose. This all stems from earlier in the month when Randy Orton ripped into independent wrestling on Twitter.
Editor’s Note:
This comes as no surprise to me. I love Orton, but those comments were sure to spark controversy. Perhaps that was his plan? Either way, it is still such an amazing, if spot-heavy moment to watch.
