Well, it’s a start. Over the years, “Impact Wrestling” has had a very up and down history when it comes to their ratings and audience. Every once in a while they’ll have something come together and the audience will go up but then it tends to go back down in a few weeks. It’s been a few weeks of bad numbers so is it time for them to go back up?

As it turns out, this week’s show did see an improvement. According to Showbuzz Daily, the show drew a .08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 305,000 viewers, up 33% and 12% over last week. The show’s main event was a #1 contenders match for the Impact Wrestling World Title between Magnus, Ethan Carter III and James Storm with the winner receiving a title shot at “Slammiversary 2017”.

Opinion: There’s probably more to it than this but could it be that the main event was about the Impact Wrestling World Title? Previous weeks have been built around the X-Division Title or the GFW World Title but, very simply put, fans who watch “Impact Wrestling” are probably watching for the sake of watching the promotion’s stars fight for its titles. The show focused on that for once and the numbers went up. Maybe it’s a coincidence, but maybe it makes sense.
