According to Meltzer on The Wrestling Observer earlier this week, McMahon had bladed before the segment, covering it up with nu-skin which was meant to leave a way for the wound to re-open with a lot of blood.
He would confirm last night on the Wrestling Observer Radio that he was correct in saying that. The only difference is that McMahon used Vaseline instead of nu-skin to cover the cut.
The original plan was for McMahon to have his daughter Stephanie come to the ring with a towel as he is bleeding everywhere, saturating the towel in blood. This is why she was seen coming out to help as ‘Smackdown Live’ went off the air.
It is worth noting that WWE.com issued a storyline update for McMahon on Wednesday. They mentioned that he refused to comment or to be looked at by medical staff following Owens’ attack.
Meltzer ended his address on the topic by explaining that what McMahon did was reckless and hopes he doesn’t pay for it sooner or later in his life.
If you’d like to see the brutal attack by Owens on the Chairman of WWE, we highly recommend watching this clip of the incident from ‘Smackdown Live.’
