Chris Jericho appeared on The Rich Eisen Show, where he explained that he believes The Rock will eventually run for president.

Jericho sat down with host Rich Eisen where he had the following to say on former rival Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson potentially running for presidency in the United States.

“I have no doubt that that’s going to happen at some point. Honestly, I do. Not to get political but I think we are in the era now of celebrity presidents. I think our current president got in because he knew how to work a camera. I think The Rock knows how to work a camera better than Trump does and has much more charisma and [is] much more likable. You don’t even need experience to be a president anymore. All you need to do is have the celebrity value. So I honestly think The Rock will run for President.”

The clip of him appearing on the show for that specific segment can be found here through the show’s official Twitter account:

As Bleacher Report explains, a West Virginian man filed an official campaign committee called “Run the Rock 2020” back in July with the Federal Election Commission on behalf of The Rock.

It is unknown at this point if Johnson will run, but 2020 is still a few years away so he has time to decide. He had an estimated $65 million in earnings between June 1 2016-2017. This ranked him as the second-highest paid actor in the world.

The Rock recently appeared on Jimmy Fallon and addressed the situation. We highly recommend watching the video below to get an understanding of his own perspective.
