So long and farewell. Last year in Dallas, Texas, Asuka won the NXT Women’s Title by beating the heck out of Bayley and defeating her with the Asuka Lock. Since then, Asuka has successfully defended the title against all comers and has barely broken a sweat in doing so. Now that she’s out of opponents, it was time for a major change.

Last night on “NXT”, Asuka vacated the Women’s Title due to a combination of a broken collarbone and moving up to the main roster. While it hasn’t been announced if she’ll be on “Monday Night Raw” or “Smackdown Live”, the ceremony was a very well done moment with Asuka receiving the respect that she deserves. WWE has released a video of part of it, which is more than worth checking out.

Asuka relinquishes the NXT Women's Title to seek new challengers: WWE NXT, Sept. 6, 2017

Opinion: I’m not sure what else there is to say about this. Asuka deserves every bit of praise she receives for her time in NXT and it’s interesting to see her move on to the next level without losing the title. She’s the most dominant wrestler the show has ever seen and I don’t see that being topped anytime soon. Asuka was amazing and it was great to see her get such an emotional sendoff.
