PWInsider.com has provided an update on Global Force Wrestling, Jeff Jarrett’s newest venture into the pro wrestling world.
The report claims that Jarrett had intended to begin running live events and maybe even tapings as soon as the end of this year or early January 2015. Unfortunately, it does not appear that those plans will come to fruition, and instead, events are not expected to begin until October or even November of next year.
Jarrett announced the promotion on April 7, claiming that professional wrestling was ready for another player.
“[WWE] have built a brand over the last 50, 60 years. And truly, [WrestleMania] weekend is the perfect example of just how global their brand is. Professional wrestling has been around since the advent of television. There is definitely room, space for a brand new promotion to come on the scene. And we’re going to put out the very best product that we can. Our mission statement is going to be, right at the very top, that we are going to put out a professional wrestling product that listens to the fans, engages the fans. We are going to immerse ourselves with the wrestling fan and that is going to be first and foremost.”
It is said that Jarrett has been scouting talent from around the world for some time now. He previously founded TNA back in 2002 alongside his father, Jerry.

No one will ever compete with WWE again, but providing alternatives is never a bad thing. Here’s to success, J-E-Double-F.
