According to a report by the Wrestling News Observer, there are plans for a Triple Threat match to take place on the “WWE Extreme Rules” card on May 4.

Bad News Barrett is expected to defeat Rob Van Dam in the finals of the No. 1 Contender Intercontinental Championship tournament this Monday Night on “RAW,” albeit with the (presumed) help of Cesaro.

This will lead to a Cesaro vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Jack Swagger match at “WWE Extreme Rules.” Bad News Barrett will then go on to challenge Big E for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Rob Van Dam defeated Cesaro in the semi-finals on the 4/21 edition of “Monday Night RAW” via count-out after Swagger tossed “The King of Swing” into the ring post.

Editor’s Note

The addition of Rob Van Dam to the Cesaro/Jack Swagger storyline seems a tad random, so the WWE must not be confident in two heels (although Cesaro gets a face reaction) going head-to-head at the special event.
