“Extreme Rules” is just a week away, and it appears that the Kickoff match is set in stone.

PWInsider.com is reporting that Rybaxel is set to take on The Usos in tag team action for the Tag Team Championship to anchor down the pre-show for the New Jersey crowd. It is the second-consecutive pay-per-view (though this is technically a “Special Event”) that the two teams will be involved with one another in the Kickoff match.

Interestingly enough, this is also the third-consecutive Kickoff match for Ryback and Curtis Axel, though they both appeared on the main WrestleMania card during the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. They lost to Cody Rhodes and Goldust in the Kickoff match for “Elimination Chamber” back in February.

“Extreme Rules” gets underway May 4 from the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J. at 8 p.m. ET. It will be the first official “Special Event” on the WWE Network.

Editor’s Note

I’ve enjoyed what Rybaxel has done so far in this feud, though I must admit, The Usos deserve better than this. Turn lemons into lemonade, I suppose.
