Sheamus Says He is Out Indefinitely

Monday night, it was reported WWE Superstar Sheamus was backstage for this week’s WWE television tapings. Furthermore, this rumor extended to the point where it was believed he would be returning to WWE programming.

However, in a new video with WWE.com, the former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion refutes reports of a return anytime soon.

When asked about an estimated return date, he had the following:

“Ya know, I’d love to answer that question, I really would. But unfortunately, that’s not up to me. I mean if it was up to me, I’d be in that ring right now  tonight, trying to Brogue Kick someone’s head off. But unfortunately, it’s up to the doctors and surgeons to make that call. As of right now, there’s no definite date on when I’ll be able to get back in. The injury I sustained at ‘RAW’ that night was pretty serious. So I understand the doctor’s perspective, keeping everything, ya know, making sure my health is OK, I’m just hoping it’s not too much longer. But we have to wait and see.”

He was last seen in a match with Mark Henry on “RAW” in November, and he was written off and taken out of the “Survivor Series” main event relatively quickly. It was said he suffered a left cervical neurapraxia (stinger in arm), bone spurring, narrowing of the spinal canal (spinal stenosis) and narrowing of the nerve canals (neuroforaminal) along with nerve compression in his neck.

The “Celtic Warrior” is rumored to be returning as a heel once he is healthy. The entire interview can be found below.

I’m really not sure how I take this. Part of it seems very genuine, and I think it’s more likely it is, but there’s something fishy about all of this too. If it’s true though, his injury is similar to Daniel Bryan’s, which as we saw, could take time to heal. And is he bald?
