Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton had originally been scheduled to compete in an eight-man tag match on Monday’s scheduled edition of “RAW,” potentially in a dark match for the crowd. The XL Center, which was to be host of the show, advertised such:
“JOHN CENA, RANDY ORTON, ROMAN REIGNS & DEAN AMBROSE VS. MONEY IN THE BANK CONTRACT WINNER SETH ROLLINS, KANE, BIG SHOW & BRAY WYATT!”
Still, on the official website, Orton is advertised in the same match as part of the special live edition of “Smackdown” Thursday from the same arena.
However, it should be noted on WWE’s official website, Orton has been pulled from the billing. Instead, it lists all of the above minus him as appearing. This could mean Orton will not appear after all, and this return to television may just be saved for another date.
That date could be the next edition of “RAW,” hailing from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. Here, Orton is still advertised, alongside the other men mentioned before. This very well could be his return to television, potentially setting up a match with Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.
Editor’s Note
Orton is ready to go seemingly, so it’s odd he was pulled from this. I’d imagine his return will be sooner rather than later.
