According to a new report from PWInsider.com, Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan is still planned for WrestleMania 31. As previously reported, Bryan vs. Sheamus III was set to take place at WrestleMania XXX prior to the company flipping the script to put Bryan in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match at the event.

As rumors have suggested, the match is still something that WWE officials want to see, and it may be what they’re shooting for in terms of plans for Bryan for WrestleMania 31. Bryan was eliminated early in the 2015 Royal Rumble Match on Jan. 25, and although this caused the “Royal Rumble” crowd to turn on the event and winner Roman Reigns, Vince McMahon is said to be set on the WrestleMania card they’ve come up with and he doesn’t want to change it around just because of fan reaction.

Sheamus did not appear at the 2015 “Royal Rumble,” even though he was initially rumored to be returning at the PPV. On Jan. 19, just six days before the event, Sheamus said he’s out indefinitely due to injury and it will be up to the surgeons and officials to clear him for competition again. However, many believe this “injury” is completely scripted to cover up why Sheamus has actually been missing WWE action for the last couple of months.

Rumors state that Sheamus will play the role of iconic cinematic heel Darth Vader in the upcoming film, “Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.” The company has been doing reshoots for the last seven weeks or so, which matches up with the amount of time Sheamus has missed in the ring. Channeling the “bad guy” within to play Vader, Sheamus is expected to become a heel upon his return.

This would change the dynamic for Bryan vs. Sheamus III, where Sheamus is the heel, and Bryan is the face. With one of their WrestleMania matches only lasting 18 seconds, the next one should last longer and provide another major match for the WrestleMania 31 card.

Editor’s Note:
So this is it. Sheamus vs. Bryan III. Be prepared.
