As has been noted by Wrestling Rumors, WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes touched many during his decades-long wrestling career. “The American Dream” died Thursday, leaving the sports-entertainment world in shock. While no cause of death has been revealed at this point, it is said he took a fall Wednesday morning, ultimately leading to complications.
People all across the industry have taken to social media to pay tribute to their fallen friend, with people like Jim Ross penning heartfelt words for Rhodes. Ric Flair dedicated multiple pieces of social media to “Dream,” while his son Dustin, also known as Goldust, commented on his father’s passing.
But one of the names most recognizable for his association with Rhodes is the advocate for Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman. Heyman’s relationship with Rhodes stretches back across multiple decades, through WCW, ECW and subsequently, WWE. And it appears Heyman has taken the news of Rhodes’ passing hard.
He took to Twitter Thursday night to post a lengthy eulogy for his friend.
