Former WWE Superstar CM Punk made headlines this past week, after it was reported he had in fact visited a taping of Ohio Valley Wrestling. Reports surfaced talent were told to leave him be, as he visited friends.

An update from F4WOnline has provided a statement from OVW, where Punk came up in WWE developmental. The quote is from OVW Director of Television Michael Baldwin:

“Trailer Park Trash was not in the Davis Arena that night. No one was told not to bother CM Punk, there was no meeting held. Punk was here to talk old times with Danny Davis as the two are friends, and spent most of the time in Danny’s office. We wanted to clear things up with the article which was posted on October 6. Thank you.”

Further reports came out TNA had allegedly attempted to sign Punk to a massive contract following him leaving WWE. PWInsider refuted these claims, though there appears to be no true clarification on such.

Editor’s Note

Seems to be no harm, no foul here. Let the guy visit his friends.
