PWInsider.com is reporting that there is a possibility that renowned Japanese wrestler KENTA may be on his way to WWE in the very near future.

Pro Wrestling NOAH, his current promotion, announced this morning that the 33-year-old would be leaving the company, and his final appearance would be taking place on May 17. PWInsider had reported previously that he had been at the WWE Performance Center back in January for WWE training and to work out at the facility.

On his own personal blog, KENTA wrote:

“It is indeed true that I have always been yearning for a spot in WWE, and I’ve always wanted to give it a try sometime. After all, you only live once. ‘I should have given it a try.’ ‘I should have chosen another way.’ I’ve had those regrets when I was in my middle and high school, and even after I got in to this business. I just did not want to regret later about something I haven’t tried, so I used my time off to participate in the WWE workout. The executives were at the workout, so perhaps I may have left a mark.”

In the United States, he is best known for his work with Ring of Honor, including a slew of well-regarded matches with current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan alongside the TNA-famous Low-Ki. Additionally, he is credited for developing CM Punk’s finisher, the Go To Sleep.

He has stated in the past that if he is offered a WWE deal, he would likely accept it.

Editor’s Note

If you’ve never seen one of his matches, you need to go watch one right now. He is polished, consistent and innovative. His ROH work is great, and he would be a valuable asset in WWE.
