WWE is a lot less sexy than it used to be. There might be some fans who are disappointed by that change, but let’s be real: if you’re looking for photos or video of women in various states of undress, the internet has you well-covered.
It shouldn’t be surprising that WWE has elected to focus on wrestling as a core element of their modern women’s division, but the successes of the Four Horsewomen on Raw and SmackDown have ensured that maybe sex isn’t the best selling point after all.
With that premise established, what better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with a mostly classy sexy photo session featuring the modern women’s roster? Hey, it worked for Ronda Rousey, who’s perhaps the only person to have been featured on Sports Illustrated as both an athlete and a swimsuit model.
You can check out footage of the photoshoot below, or check out the full gallery on WWE.com, featuring Nikki Bella, Maryse, Alexa Bliss, and Naomi.
WWE has actually been returning a bit more to sex appeal in recent months, offering up no shortage of horny Emmalina promos and questionable web galleries like the one below.
There was even a recent poll asking which female superstar fans would like to see on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
We only ask that WWE make some equal opportunity objectification. We’re sure the companies female fans–and anyone who enjoys some beefcake–would be delighted with a hunky “men of WWE” wall calendar. Just picture Roman Reigns and Randy Orton frolicking in Speedos on some exotic beach.
