Big backstage info is out today on plans for WrestleMania, with three matches reportedly set in stone for WWE’s biggest show.

This week’s Wrestling Observer (subscription required) reports that Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg, Triple H vs. Seth Rollins, and Big Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal are all “locked in” for the April event.

None of those are surprising, except perhaps for Big Show (who is certainly not dead) and O’Neal. It was teased as part of one Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, but even by WWE’s standards it seems like a superfluous celebrity appearance.

Not yet locked in but likely is John Cena vs. Undertaker. The other option for Taker this year would be Roman Reigns. Vince continues to believe that Roman is the future, and a match with the Deadman would help to cement that future–unlike with Cena. This could be Undertaker’s last match, and there’s a fear that if they don’t do Roman vs. Taker now they’ll never have the chance.

It’s notable that the rumored AJ vs. Undertaker match seemingly won’t be happening, either at Mania or the Rumble.

Also of note–Cena and Undertaker were scheduled for last year’s show, and plans for that match were only cancelled due to Cena’s shoulder surgery. The emergency was what led to the sudden appearance of Shane McMahon, which proved to be a fantastic moment for WWE.
