Even “the face that runs the place” can admit when he is wrong.

Last night on “Talking Smack,” John Cena was being interviewed by JBL and Renee Young, when a question came up regarding Cena’s matches with The Rock at WrestleMania 28 and 29. JBL commented that Cena called The Rock out for being a part-timer, but has now himself transitioned into that role.

When JBL asked if Cena now considers himself being in a similar role to what The Rock was in back then, the leader of the “CeNation” said that what he said was the “stupidest stuff ever” and that he was looking at things through “very blinded eyes.”

Cena made his return to WWE programming last night on “Smackdown Live,” where it was announced that he will face AJ Styles for the WWE Championship at the 2017 “Royal Rumble.”

Editor’s Note:

This is pretty cool. There’s no doubt that there is a mutual respect between the two men, and now that Cena is having the opportunity to do what The Rock is doing, he finally understands what “The Great One” gave back to WWE.
