The Ascension might have been a flop upon their main roster debut but, well… they’re sure hanging in there. It turns out that one half of the team is about to embark on the journey of fatherhood.

Yes, Konnor of the Ascension is about to be a dad. The new baby is expected in September, the couple announced via Instagram.

Konnor’s wife, Krissy Vaine, has a history with WWE herself, though you’d be forgiven for not recognizing her. She worked in various WWE developmental territories, and even made some appearances on SmackDown.

Both she and Konnor left WWE in 2007 because of family health issues, but Konnor was obviously the one to return.

The Ascension had one of their rare spotlight moments this month, when they were built up as an unstoppable force to take on American Alpha in Tag Team Turmoil at Elimination Chamber. They lost.

Prior to the baby announcement, real life hadn’t been kind to Konnor either, as he–along with Viktor and Heath Slater–was the victim of a robbery.

But regardless of any of that–we wish the best of luck to the new parents. Welcome to the Wasteland, kiddo.
