Life for a pro wrestler isn’t all wild crowds and big paychecks. It means long days on the road and, occasionally, it means getting robbed.
According to a local news report, AJ Styles reported a robbery following a SmackDown live event on Monday night.
It was no small theft, either. Styles reported the loss of $1,000 in American currency and $7,000 in Japanese yen, as well as an iPhone, a set of Beats headphones, a small TV, an Xbox 360, and a half-dozen games.
University police say the case is still under investigation.
We might suggest that AJ learn to make better use of locks. After all, he suffered a robbery here, but locked himself out of his own car not that long ago. You can see that incident, which occurred a few months ago, in the video below.
The live event took place at the Arkansas State University Convocation Center in Jonesboro. Styles defended the WWE Championship in a triple threat against Baron Corbin and John Cena.
So we’ve gotta ask–what’s AJ doing with all that yen in his belongings? Planning a vacation? Prepare for the future downturn of the American economy? Waiting for the right exchange rate balance to cash it in?
Some recent rumors have painted an odd future for AJ at WrestleMania, suggesting his match could be against SmackDown GM Shane McMahon.
