A new report from PWInsider.com states WWE may film Season Two of “Legends House” in Florida. As we previously reported, the second Season of “Legends House” is set to be filmed in 2014, with possibly Ric Flair as its main star. While the first season was taped in California, it looks as if the second edition of “Legends House” could be coming from the “Sunshine State.”
“WWE Legends House” began as a pet project for the WWE Network back in 2011, when plans for the WWE Network began to be solidified. The company wanted to shoot fresh content to provide its subscribers in addition to the hours of on-demand content they already had ready to roll out.
In January of 2012, WWE Legends “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Tony Atlas, “Mean” Gene Okerlund, “Hillbilly” Jim, Howard Finkel, Jimmy Hart, and Pat Patterson were crammed into the same house for an extended period of time to film the program. Cameras followed them in their day-to-day “semi-scripted” lives as they competed in challenges, celebrated victories, and had some cocktails.
The reality show is the first for the Network to feature “Real World” style content that involves so many legends. “Legends House” debuted on April 17, and has done very well numbers-wise. WWE officials are said to be very happy with the amount of viewers the program is drawing. A second Season is reportedly high on the list of new projects WWE Network executives are putting together.
Editor’s Note:
I love “Legends House.” I said it earlier, and I’ll say it again. Ric Flair in a “Legends House” setting = where do I sign-up? I’ll watch every episode the moment it airs.
