The WWE  announced today that Antonio Cesaro will defend his United States Championship this Sunday night at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view against The Miz. This announcement was made one day after the Miz took a BRUTAL beating from Cesaro following his match with Cody Rhodes on Monday Night Raw.

The history of bad blood between Cesaro and Miz has been building since their Royal Rumble pre-show match, where Cesaro was victorious. The two have since attacked each other week after week, escalating violently with Cesaro swinging Miz into the security barricades multiple times on RAW.

This is Cesaro’s first US Championship run and he has held the title since August of 2012. The Miz has held the US strap 2 times before, and will be going into this Sunday night’s PPV hoping for a 3rd.

You can watch WWE’s Elimination Chamber on PPV this Sunday night, February 17th at 8pm EST. Be sure to follow Wrestling Rumors for LIVE COVERAGE of the event starting at 8pm EST as well.
