Former wrestler/promoter/manager/commentator/writer,  “Dirty” Dutch Mantel returned to WWE programming Monday night.

Mantel (real name Wayne Maurice Keown) made his return accompanying Jack Swagger to the ring for his match with Zack Ryder, in an apparent managerial role under the name “Zeb Colter.” After Swagger was victorious in the match, Mantel, as Colter, cut a promo about being in Vietnam with Swagger’s father to establish a connection between himself and the “All-American American.”

Mantel has been in the professional wrestling business since the 1970’s, where he achieved the majority of his success in the NWA. He went on to manage many of yesterday and today’s wrestling superstars such as Sting, The Ultimate Warrior, Undertaker, JBL, and Kane. He has provided commentary and served as a writer, booker, and promoter for companies such as WCW, TNA, Puerto Rican International Wrestling Association, Smokey Mountain Wrestling, and Showtime All-Star Wrestling.
