WWE.com has provided an update on Randy Orton being written off of television. Following an attack by The Authority during the Nov. 3 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” Orton has been deemed injured and will not be appearing on WWE programming over the next few weeks.

As previously reported, Orton has been cast in WWE Studios’ upcoming film, “The Condemned II,” and will miss the next few weeks of WWE programming and live events to shoot the movie. Some reports claim Orton may even miss “Survivor Series” on Nov. 23, although others believe that he will return at the November PPV and play a crucial role in Team Cena conquering Team Authority.

WWE.com claims Orton suffered a concussion at the hands of his former Authority brethren on Nov. 3. Orton was actually busted open during the final segment of the night, but the concussion is merely storyline driven. The Viper is expected to return to action following the wrap up of filming for “The Condemned II,” and should be a major babyface character moving forward into December.

Editor’s Note:
The full fledged face turn will lead to new options for “Faces vs Authority,” so I’m all for it. The people were incredibly behind Orton on “RAW.”
