A new report from PWInsider.com has provided an update on Rey Mysterio’s status with WWE. As previously reported, Mysterio was backstage during the Nov. 3 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” however, he was only at the event to meet with Vince McMahon about his current standing with the company.

As reported earlier, Mysterio’s contract was extended by McMahon against his will when his former deal expired in June. McMahon feels as if Mysterio owes the company more time due to the amount of injuries the former champion has had to take time off to heal throughout his latest run. Mysterio has reportedly been out-of-action the last few months with a hand injury.

Mexican promotion AAA has claimed that Mysterio is done with WWE and will be appearing for their company as soon as his current WWE contract extension is over. His status with WWE is said to be what his meeting with McMahon was about on Nov. 3. No details have been released as of yet in regards to what was decided about Mysterio’s future, but he flew home following the event and will not be backstage during the Nov. 4 “Smackdown” tapings.

Editor’s Note:
When will this Mysterio drama ever end?
