The latest edition of “Wrestling Observer Radio” may provide an update on Randy Orton returning on “Smackdown” on Jan. 29. As previously reported, Orton was recently removed from the program’s advertisements, but the superstar has apparently been telling fans to keep their eyes on the screen for his appearance.

Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com and “Wrestling Observer Radio” claims that Orton was open about appearing on the show during an appearance at the Washington Auto Show on Jan. 28. Fan reports to other sites also claim that Orton told them to watch “Smackdown” after they had told him they were ready to see him on TV again.

Whether Orton will be featured during the live edition of “Smackdown” is yet to be seen, however, Orton has been ready to return for sometime. “The Viper” was reportedly backstage and dressed to compete during the 2015 “Royal Rumble” on Jan. 25, but was not used for storyline purposes.

Orton has been rumored to be returning soon, if not on Jan. 29, to begin working towards a match with Mr. Money in the Bank Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 31. Just as Orton reportedly told fans, I guess we’ll have to watch “Smackdown” on SyFy Network at 8 p.m. ET on Jan. 29 to find out.

Editor’s Note:
This would be the perfect time for Orton to return. “Smackdown” will have a LOT more eyes on it tonight since it’s live AND features a Casket Match. This would be a win, win, win for everyone involved.
