Former WWE Champion the Undertaker may not be ready to compete at WrestleMania XXX. According to WrestlingNewsWorld.com, WWE’s resident “Phenom” reportedly has not yet signed off to perform at the 30th annual WrestleMania event.
Undertaker, who stands undefeated at WrestleMania events with 21 victories, had hip-replacement surgery following his last televised WWE match in late-Spring of 2013. He defeated Dean Ambrose of The Shield via submission during the April 26 edition of WWE “Smackdown,” but was then brutally attacked by The Shield in order to have a reason in kayfabe to remove him from WWE TV.
Undertaker has reportedly been rehabilitating from the hip-replacement surgery and is nervous about working another match, especially one against proposed WrestleMania XXX opponent, Brock Lesnar. Undertaker, real name Mark Calaway, understands that a match with Lesnar on the “grandest stage of them all” would be very intense and physical, and does not know if he is ready to commit to this yet or not.
However, a report from F4Wonline.com states that Undertaker wants to work with Daniel Bryan if he does feel healthy enough to compete at the event. According to the report, Undertaker personally requested to work with the 2013 “WWE Superstar of the Year.” This would no doubt be a less physical match, but incredibly entertaining.
The report claims that Vince McMahon is confident that Undertaker will come through and sign-off on competing at WrestleMania XXX. However, McMahon and WWE officials are willing to bring in someone like Bill Goldberg to have a marquee match if Undertaker decides that he cannot go on April 6.
