WWE.com has posted a new article reporting that manager and former ECW owner Paul Heyman is scouting the WWE locker room for a third client. The story claims that Heyman is searching for one more person to add to his portfolio of clients, which includes Brock Lesnar and CM Punk currently. In regards to this rumor, WWE found a few superstars to comment on the situation.
NXT superstar Corey Graves said, “Would I like to be represented by Paul Heyman? Of course. It doesn’t mean you’re gonna be liked. You’re not gonna make any friends … but you can’t deny that if you’re a Paul Heyman guy, the world’s going to talk about you.”
US Champion Kofi Kingston had this to say, “I think anyone who is not interested in having Paul Heyman as a representative would be foolish. Look at his track record and what he’s done for guys like Brock Lesnar. You see how much of an asset he’s been for CM Punk. [Heyman] is a genius.”
WWE.com says that Heyman was silent on the subject. This could be an angle to set up Heyman with someone like Ryback to give him a little boost of staying power and relevance going into his program with John Cena. There has been backstage talk about Ryback needing some help with his promos and presence outside of the ring, and Heyman would do nothing but rectify these issues. Many feel that Heyman could help shoot just about ANYONE into a greater atmosphere of superstardom as he is one of the best mic workers in the business. Anyone that needs a mouthpiece would benefit greatly from having Heyman represent them, so the question is, who will it be?
