Your #1 stop for all Dolph Ziggler injury-related updates!

UPDATE – 5/13

Following this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, it has been announced that Dolph Ziggler will not defend the World Heavyweight Championship this weekend at Extreme Rules. However, he will not be stripped of the title, while Alberto del Rio and Jack Swagger compete in an “I Quit” match on pay-per-view to determine the new #1 contender to Ziggler’s title.

UPDATE – 5/10

It was indeed the kick from Jack Swagger that gave Ziggler a concussion, and reports from WWE.com say that he is suffering from retrograde amnesia, and is unable to remember any of the events from Raw or Smackdown this Monday and Tuesday. At this time his status for Extreme Rules is highly unlikely, and WWE is scrambling to put together some sort of alternative program.

UPDATE – 5/8

WWE.com has confirmed Dolph Ziggler’s concussion, and the World Champ will be undergoing tests this week to find out the severity of the injury. At this point his Extreme Rules pay-per-view status is unknown.

ORIGINAL STORY – 5/7

It is believed that World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler suffered a concussion during the May 7th WWE Smackdown tapings, after getting involved in Big E Langston’s match. The injury was likely due to a kick from Jack Swagger, but could have possibly been related to an attack by Alberto del Rio as well.
