WWE.com wants you to meet the NXT Tag Team Champions of Blake and Murphy. In a new article posted on the site, WWE reveals more details about who each superstar is, how winning the NXT Tag Team Championship from the Lucha Dragons actually was a historic feat, and more.

Blake and Murphy, how they are now billed on “NXT” and at NXT live events, consists of superstars Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy. Originally jobbers to teams like the Lucha Dragons, The Ascension, and The Vaudevillains, the duo actually made history when they won the titles a few weeks ago. Murphy chimes in to explain how,

“This isn’t just an accomplishment for me but for my home country. This title makes me the first Australian-born Superstar to ever hold a WWE championship.”

Murphy’s partner in Blake then went on to talk more about their partnership and what their intensions are while a part of WWE and NXT,

“Murphy and I started in NXT right when the Performance Center opened in July 2013. We instantly hit it off. We hung out all the time like brothers, with the exception of living together. Murphy and I basically made a vow that we wanted to be a team that would bring a different kind of energy to the tag team division. I honestly believe we can do a lot of things that other teams just aren’t capable of, and now that we’ve made a statement with these titles, we plan to keep shocking and awing everyone every week.”

Editor’s Note:
These guys have come a long way from their debut and have a nice thing going. If they keep them together in WWE, we should have a couple of good teams on the main roster.
