CM PUNK / PAUL HEYMAN Segment: MARKED OUT!

Punk is out…meaning it’s 10pmET right? Right. Gold. Solid gold. A lot of people are hating this Heyman and Punk storyline, or at least the fact that it’s still going, but I feel it. I like it and I’ll tell you why.

I’m intrigued by the relationship of Punk and Heyman. Seriously, they have history, so it works. As far as Heyman with Axel, well we know how that’s working, but as far as everything else with Heyman and Punk, I love it.

Brie Bella gets the pin…but this match was just to see AJ get pinned. Random mix of heel girls…in a QUICK tag match. Meh…just didn’t feel it.

DANIEL BRYAN Segment: MARKED OUT!

Seriously…this guy is epic. Bryan is THE guy in this company right now, and that promo was just another example of his passion and connection to the crowd.

DANIEL BRYAN / DOLPH ZIGGLER / ROB VAN DAM / R-TRUTH / ZACK RYDER / JUSTIN GABRIEL / KOFI KINGSTON / THE USOS / PRIME TIME PLAYERS def. *US and Tag Team Champions* THE SHIELD: MARKED OUT!

Again…I didn’t understand the logic…but it provided for one HELLUVA match right? EPIC work from The Usos and the Shield. Reigns, Rollins, and Ambrose are proving to everyone that they are future singles stars in every match they compete in.

How Gabriel and Ryder fit in, I’m unsure, but the rest of the people involved in this match looked so great. It almost made me forget about the logic of it all…at least it did until I watched it again so I could write this review.

How about Goldust and Cody coming in here? Would have preferred that they ran in earlier, but the craziness of it all was great. Obviously setting up a return for them soon, and I like where this is going.

RAW 09/23/13 OVERALL: MARKED OUT!

Come on now people, let’s be real with ourselves. This is some of the best product the WWE has produced in YEARS. I don’t care that it’s the fall, which is when Creative and PPVs get stale. This McMahon/Helmsley Regime storyline keeps us guessing as to “what will happen next?”…which is a REALLY good thing.

Nothing is overly predictable at this moment. The only thing you can bank on is that way down the line, Bryan gets his title back and runs with it for a while.

Sure, you know Cody Rhodes is going to have his job back too, but Goldust may even get a seventh chance out of all of this too, and that’s awesome.

All in all…we’re at a good spot right now being fans of the WWE. The payoff coming from all of this in the next few months will be great, just you wait and see.
