The Main Event is Set For the 2014 Royal Rumble

The main event is set for the 2014 Royal Rumble. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton will face former WWE Champion John Cena in a traditional Championship match on January 26th, where the victor can only be decided via pinfall or submission.

The match was made during the December 30th edition of “Monday Night Raw” by one of WWE’s primary owners, Stephanie McMahon. The main event will be a re-match from WWE’s previous PPV, “WWE TLC,” in which Orton won the newly unified WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match.

The upcoming bout will be Cena’s re-match for the championship, and will likely be the last time he will fight for the title for some time. The winner of this match is expected to face the winner of the 2014 Royal Rumble Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX.
