According to reports, Bill Goldberg wants to work WrestleMania 31 in Santa Clara. The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims that Goldberg is interested in doing something at the event, if he and WWE officials can meet on terms and creative plans.

As we reported previously, Goldberg initially felt the same way in regards to WrestleMania XXX. Apparently, WWE reached out to Goldberg and he revealed his interest, but his price tag is extremely steep. Once he was passed over for the event in New Orleans, Goldberg then tried to “debunk” the story regarding the two parties’ negotiations via his official Twitter account.

Goldberg continues to stay in great shape and will be willing to work if the money is there. However, just as was seen in 2014, WWE currently doesn’t feel like an investment like Goldberg is wanting them to make is worth it given the amount of time that he has been away from the ring.

Editor’s Note:
I kinda have to go with the WWE’s opinion here. It’s been 10 years since Goldberg’s fought in a WWE ring. Who would you pair him with? What would the angle be? To me, if you use him, you have to sign him to a part-time deal like Batista’s. He’ll have to be on TV more to re-establish himself with the WWE Universe, although he’ll likely become “Boo-berg” by the end of it.
