The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided an update on the health of WWE Hall of Famer Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. The legendary competitor, manager, and commentator recently suffered a broken shoulder in Las Vegas. According to the report, Heenan suffered the injury while trying to get out of bed on April 24.

Heenan and his family reportedly were in Las Vegas mingling with other family members and to attend a wedding. With Heenan’s accident taking place prior to the wedding, Heenan and his wife actually missed the event due to his time spent in the hospital.

This is not the only injury that Heenan has suffered as of late. “The Brain” also broke his back not too long ago due to a fall. According to the report, the cancer treatments that Heenan has received over the years have left his bones weak, submitting them to injury easier than before. However, just as he has also seemed to be, Heenan remains joyous and full of life regardless to his health issues.

Editor’s Note:
Bobby “The Brain” Heenan is an icon. To me, he’s the greatest manager of all time, not to mention that he is one of the greatest human beings in this industry to ever touch a microphone. Heenan on the mic was always gold, always worth listening to more than once. I wish he and his wife the best of health.
